The impressive progress of technology and the remote work have made the IT sector perhaps more popular than ever. Thus, under the support and information activities for people of migrant or refugee background, seeking work in Information Technology departments, Generation 2.0 RED hosted one more Employers’ Speech of Diversity in the Workplace, in the context of the project “Equality Works”, implemented under the Active citizens fund program.
We had the pleasure to host as speakers, Murtaza Hassani and Juan Salvador Cabello Zavala, graduates from The Social Hackers Academy, who work as web developers at Amnick Social Enterprise.
Murtaza and Salvador discussed with the beneficiaries of the Career Counselling service regarding the existing career opportunities, the skills needed to follow a profession in ΙΤ sector, how to get a proper training but also how significant it is to broaden up the circle of acquaintances and synergies in relevant sectors.
The clear goal, the desire for lifelong learning and communication are three key points on which the speakers advised the audience to focus. After sharing their future plans, they received questions from the participants and clarified queries regarding employability in the specific sector.
We would like to warmly thank the speakers and the participants, walking on our side towards a more inclusive labor market.
